I have been neglectful for my followers here… no not followers, readers. I even hate the word “subscribers”, but what ever you consider yourself, i’m sorry, i have been absent and neglectful of you feelings.
My last blog post was about a few courses that i’d signed up for, well, the first course ‘Forensic Psychology’ is now done. Strictly it was done on Monday, seven days ago, but it only occurred to me right now, to write about it and tell you guys how it all ended.
As you can see, apart from week 2, i did pretty good.
My over all score in the end was,
Though i have to admit, the final three assessments were pretty easy. And by easy i mean that i didn’t need to look at my notes.
So I figure that i’ll take this Forensic Psychology/Criminology further and more seriously.
The other two courses are still going on, both with two weeks to go. But, the ‘Start Writing Fiction’ course has had some surprising results. Every two weeks we have to write something as an assignment, but it’s not assessed by “teachers”, it’s assessed by other writers taking the course, and i’ve been getting some pretty good feedback. My last assignment even got me an ‘OMG!’ So far they’ve been character sketches, but in both cases people wanted to ‘read on’, to learn more about this character and the story/plot.
In the last of the courses i’m currently taking we have Forensic Science. A six week course about a reconstructed murder, and i’m pretty sure that i figured out who did it in week one. So the last three weeks have basically been learning new evidence which has been confirming my thoughts.
“It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.”
